BOB™ Welcomes Ironman 70.3 to Boise
Boise, ID - May 28, 2008

BOB, the Boise-based manufacturer of the popular Ironman Sport Utility Stroller and additional products that facilitate freedom for active families, will show local support for licensing partner Ironman by participating at the preceding Expo for the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Boise, presented by Ford – a 70.3-mile Ironman Championship qualifying race event being held Sunday, June 1.

"Along with the rest of the Boise community, we warmly welcome Ironman and the thousands of incredible athletes competing in this special event," explains Damon Noller, vice president of sales and marketing for BOB. "BOB’s continued commitment to the active market and relationship with Ironman as a licensee make our involvement in this first-ever Boise event extremely exciting."

Ironman 70.3 Boise, presented by Ford will serve as one of more than 26 worldwide qualifying events for the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 taking place on November 8, 2008, in Clearwater, FL. The event consists of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile run spanning a variety of Boise's scenic areas.

BOB will host a booth at the preceding Ironman Expo May 30-31 to exhibit and demonstrate its Ironman strollers, along with other popular models, to top athletes, media, spectators and volunteers attending the event. Company representatives will also be present on race day to show support.

A licensing partner of Ironman since 2003, BOB teamed up with the running and multi-sport lifestyle brand to create the ideal piece of training equipment for athletes with young children. The result is the Ironman Sport Utility Stroller – a lightweight, three-wheeled stroller designed specifically for the serious runner that features slick, smooth-rolling road tires and a stiff suspension system. The official stroller of the Ironman Triathlon, the Ironman Sport Utility Stroller is currently used by Ironman Champions Craig Alexander and Chris Legh, among others.

Actively involved in the Boise community, BOB moved company operations to ‘The City of Trees’ in early 2006.

"We are grateful to be a part of Boise’s dynamic and pro-athletic community," says Noller. "The simple fact that the city was chosen as a site for an athletic event of this caliber speaks to its wide-ranging appeal, and we look forward to showing our support for this inaugural occasion."
