What is the age recommendation for your stroller?
BOB recommends that children should be at least 8 weeks old before riding in a BOB stroller without a BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter and compatible infant car seat. Please note that babies incapable of holding their head up must have additional head and neck support to ride safely and comfortably. For jogging stroller or off road stroller use, children should be at least 8 months old. With the addition of the BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter and compatible infant car seat, newborns may be able to ride in the stroller. Children develop at different rates. Prior to first use, consult with your pediatrician regarding the suitability of stroller use with your child. Please refer to the below table for age/use guidelines.
The Infant Car Seat Adapter is designed for walking only due to the higher center of gravity. This accessory will allow parents to use select infant car seats with BOB Strollers.
What are the weight limits of the stroller?
Our lightweight jogging strollers have a maximum weight capacity of all BOB single strollers is 70 lbs (32kg) including occupant plus luggage weight, and for the Duallie strollers, 50 lbs per seat, 100 lbs (45kg) total, including occupant plus luggage weight.
What is the Low Boy weight capacity?
The maximum weight capacity of the Low Boy basket is 10 lbs (4.5kg). Also, be careful not to overload the seat back pocket, maximum weight 2 lbs (1kg), as this will increase the possibility of stroller tip over.
How do you fold the single stroller?
To fold the single BOB stroller; set the parking brake, remove children from seats and any contents from stroller, compress the Handlebar Release Levers simultaneously on each side of the handlebar, and fold the handlebar forward. Then, pull on the red Frame Release Handle just below the seat. The rear wheels will swing forward and your stroller will be move into a folded position. You can then use the wrist strap buckle to secure the folded stoller for transport or storage.
How do you fold the Duallie stroller?
To fold any BOB Duallie Stroller; set the parking brake, remove children from seats and any contents from stroller, and then disconnect the red Seat Retention Strap located on the underside of the stroller seat. Compress the Handlebar Release Levers simultaneously on each side of the handlebar, fold the handlebar forward, and then pull on the red Frame Release Handle just below the seat. The rear wheels will swing forward and your stroller will move into a folded position. You can then use the wrist strap buckle to secure the folded stroller for transport or storage.
How do I store my stroller?
It is best to store your baby stroller indoors when it is not in use. This will prolong its attractive appearance. Extended exposure to the suns ultraviolet rays will fade and damage the fabric, tires, and plastic parts.
Serial number location?
Standing at the handle bar, the serial number is located near the back right wheel on the inside of the square frame tubing of the stroller. The number for newer strollers will be on a white sticker and start with A or B; older strollers will have a six digit number stamped into the frame. Strollers produced in, or before, 1999 will not have a serial number.

How old is my stroller?
The easiest way to determine the age of your stroller is to cross-reference the serial number to our directory of online manuals found at the link below. If you are standing at the handle bar, the serial number is located next to the back right wheel on the inside of the square frame tubing of the stroller. The number for newer strollers will be on a white sticker and start with A or B; older strollers will have a six digit number stamped into the frame. Strollers produced in, or before, 1999 will not have a serial number.

Cleaning?
The fabric has a stain resistant treatment that makes most cleanups easy. Use a sponge with a solution of mild soap and cold water (maximum temperature of 100 deg. F / 38 deg. C). Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap then air dry. Do not use detergent.
Regular inspections?
We recommend inspecting your stroller before every use. Verify tire pressure. Verify all screws, attachment points and fasteners are tight. Check all wheels to be sure they are securely clamped. Check for tears or excessive wear in the fabric. We recommend you take your stroller to a designated BOB dealer for periodic inspection and service.
Flat tire explanation?
Each tire has an inner tube that simply needs to be patched or replaced when punctured. Just like the tires on your car, a tire can go flat from road debris such as broken glass, thorns, etc. All manufacturers of jogging strollers use a tire and inner tube to help keep the weight of the stroller to a minimum and provide a smoother ride for your child. New tubes can be purchased at your local bike shop for about $5 each. Our tires and tubes are the same size used by most kid’s bike manufacturers. We suggest asking the shop about tire liners, which go on the inside of your tires, to help reduce the number of future flats.
Are flats under warranty?
Flat tires are not covered by the BOB warranty. Each tire has an inner tube that simply needs to be patched or replaced when punctured. Just like the tires on your car, a tire can go flat from road debris such as broken glass, thorns, etc. BOB warranty does not cover inner tubes, because they can become punctured by sharp debris.
How to locate a leak in your tire tube?
To determine where the leak is coming from you will want to mark the side of the tire with a sharpie where the valve stem is located. Once the tire and tube have been removed partially inflate the tire and submerge it in water to locate the air bubbles. Once the leak has been detected reinstall the tube in the tire, but when doing so, make sure the valve stem lines up with the sharpie mark. This will allow you to determine if the flat is occurring from sharp objects or if there is a sharp object in the tire itself.
How do you keep the stroller in the folded position for transport or storage?
For strollers pre 2011, the wrist strap is used to secure the stroller in the closed position. With the stroller in the folded position, loop the strap over the handlebar and Velcro it closed at the rear wheel cross tube. This will secure the stroller for transport and storage. For 2011 or newer models, the wrist strap features a folding lock buckle that fastens to another buckle at the rear wheel cross tube (below the stroller's rear parking brake.)
How easy is it to turn a fixed wheel stroller?
All of the BOB strollers are designed so the child’s weight is centered over the rear axle. This allows you to turn the stroller by placing very little pressure on the handlebar, elevating the front wheel and pointing the stroller in the direction you want to go.
My handlebar hand brake is not working?
Without seeing the stroller, the problem is often located at the brake caliper by the wheel. When you’re looking at the front of the stroller, on the left-hand side of the brake, there is a lever that says open/close. The open position widens the distance between the brake pads and the rim so you can remove the front wheel. By pulling down and towards you on the lever, that will bring the brake pads close to the wheel for normal use. This will allow you to apply the brakes, and engage the parking brake as well. If this does not work, you can take the stroller into your local bike shop and they can make any necessary adjustments to the brake for you.
My stroller squeaks?
You can fix the squeaky area by turning your stroller upside down and lubricating the shock piston with a 3-in-1 oil or bicycle chain lubricant. The best lubricant to use is Tri-Flow Lubricant and is available at your local bicycle shop for about $5. Let the oil run down the piston and into the shock housing. Turn your stroller upright and compress the shock a few times to coat the contact areas. Also, on strollers produced prior to 2011, lubricate the black plastic pivot bracket, which is the triangular piece in front of the shock. You’ll want to lubricate between the plastic and metal to help stop any squeaks.
Stroller pulls to one direction?
The first thing you will want to do is make sure the tire pressure is set to 30 psi on all tires, 60 psi for Ironman Strollers. If one tire is lower than the other, the stroller will tend to pull in that direction. If your stroller model is 2005 and newer, it will have tracking adjustment knobs at the end of each fork. For instructions on how to adjust the tracking refer to your owner's manual.
My stroller shakes like a shopping cart, vibrates jiggles, etc.
It sounds like the stroller’s headset has become loose. This can be caused by running or jogging with your stroller in the swivel mode or it can sometimes just happen over time. A local bike shop that sells BOB strollers can repair it for you.
The seat harness doesn’t fit my child?
With the child in the seat of the stroller slip one shoulder strap over each shoulder and position the crotch strap between the legs. Fasten the shoulder straps by inserting both shoulder strap buckles into the crotch strap buckle. Note: the crotch strap should be adjusted to have a snug fit. Adjust the shoulder strap height by placing it just above the shoulder. Open the Velcro pads and slide the buckle up or down to adjust the strap tension. The seat harness should fit snugly and be comfortable. Lastly, adjust the lap strap to fit snugly, but yet comfortably for the child.
My stroller didn’t come with a manual?
BOB Strollers come with a manual in the rear mesh cargo pocket behind the seat. If yours is missing, click on this link  for our online manuals. You will be able to select the model you purchased and print off the manual you need.
Need more details?
A step-by-step guide with illustrations can be found in your owner’s manual. If you no longer have the manual you can print or view an online copy of the manual  here.
Why is the seat recline not completely horizontal?
It would exceed the allowable recline angles set by ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) for carriages and strollers. ASTM standards are voluntary standards for quality & safety to which BOB adheres.

Trailer Questions

How should I determine the most appropriate BOB trailer for my needs/uses?
YAK: For road and light-duty off-road use we recommend our YAK trailer, which is the original design and has successfully completed countless expeditions. We make different versions of the Yak trailer as well and you can find the details for each model here.
IBEX: For demanding off-road use we recommend the IBEX trailer because it features a suspension designed to improve off-road performance. We make different versions of the IBEX trailer as well and you can find the details for each model here.
SRAM dual drive?
We currently do not have anything that will adapt with the SRAM dual drive system and click box for our BOB Trailers. The click box prevents the attachment of a quick release or BOB Nutz.
What trailer fork size do I need?
The BOB Yak/Ibex standard fork is designed for 26" mountain bike wheels and 700c road wheels. If you intend on using the trailer with 29" mountain bike wheels or 700c wheels with full wrap fenders, you'll want the Yak/Ibex 28 (longer fork). The YAK and IBEX fork length is 375mm and the YAK 28 and IBEX 28 have a fork length of 398mm.
Will the BOB trailer work with disc brakes?
BOB Trailers are compatible with most disc brakes. Due to various frame designs and brake manufactures, it is hard to say which brands will work. We have found that some mechanical disc brakes will not work with our fork due to their design but most hydraulic disc brakes will work. Your best bet is to test the combination of bike and trailer first.
Will the trailer fit on a bike with solid axles?
We make BOB Nutz to accommodate bikes with solid axles. The BOB Nutz replaces your original axle nuts and provide the same bobbin attachment system as on the BOB Quick Release. We do make BOB Nutz for different axle diameters and thread pitches. To purchase the correct Nutz for your bike, you will need to know your bike's axle diameter and thread pitch. Axle thread pitch is not easy to determine without a thread pitch gauge or an example of a nut with a known thread pitch. It is not sufficient to know the brand of bike or hub. Your local bike shop may have a thread-pitch gauge; if not they should be able to test your axle using an axle nut of known thread pitch. Most bike manufacturers and big-box retailers will not be able to tell you the thread pitch used on your particular model. Your best bet is to take your rear wheel (or the entire bike) into a local bike shop and have a mechanic determine the axle's diameter and thread pitch. The shop can order the BOB Nutz for you. Please see our web page for a complete list of available BOB Nutz.
Note: Many riders of recumbent bicycles use our trailers, and most recumbent bikes have rear wheels secured by a quick-release skewer, thus allowing for a quick swap with our BOB QR. Other recumbent manufacturers, (BikeE, for example), use rear wheels with hubs (like the Sachs 3x7) that use axle nuts to secure the wheel. In such a case, you may use BOB Nutz (model BN9700 for the IGH Sachs 3x7).
I have a tandem bike as well as a conventional bicycle, and I want to be able to use my BOB trailer with both. How do I do it?
This depends on your bikes' rear-axle spacing. For example, recent Santana Tandems use 160mm rear hubs (whereas most tandems use rear hubs with 145mm width/spacing). Most road and mountain bikes, on the other hand, have135-mm rear hubs. To accommodate the extra wide rear-axle spacing of a Santana, we have made an extra-long quick release (part # QR9610, Quick Release for Santana: $30.00), and we have a fork that is specific to 160 mm rear-wheeled bikes (part # FO0002, Santana Fork for Yak Santana, Thru-Bolt: $49.00).
The Yak Santana Plus trailer is identical to the Yak Plus trailer, except for the difference in fork width and quick-release length. If you have a standard Yak on a road or mountain bike and wish to adapt it to your Santana, it is possible to purchase our Santana QR and Santana fork separately. The quick-release mechanisms stay on the bike and all you need to do is swap out the fork when you want to change bikes (this requires a one-bolt change on newer models).

Accessory Questions

What do I need to know about the BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter, Snack Tray and Accessory Adapter?
New BOB strollers have the Accessory Adapter feature, which allows for quick and easy installation of our Infant Car Seat Adapters and Snack Trays. Accessory Adapters are only available on strollers produced in 2011 or later, so older strollers do not have this feature and are not compatible with the new Infant Car Seat Adapter and Snack Tray.
Which Infant Car Seat Adapter is right for me?
For new strollers with the Accessory Adapter, see the chart below or for more information visit our Infant Car Seat Adapter page.
For older strollers without the BOB Accessory Adapter, see the chart below.

To locate the serial number on your stroller:
What’s the difference between old and new Infant Car Seat Adapters and Snack Trays?
The new Infant Car Seat Adapter is easy to install – attach the restraint belt with a screwdriver, then simply “click” it into place. The new Snack Tray also “clicks” into place, no tools are needed.
Old and new strollers and accessories are not compatible, so be sure to know which stroller you have before purchasing the accessories. Snack Trays are now sold separately.
Will the older Infant Car Seat Adapter and Snack Tray work on the 2011 stroller?
No. If you have the new, 2011 stroller with an Accessory Adapter then older Infant Car Seat Adapters and Snack Trays are not compatible.
Why are there fewer infant car seats compatible now?
Our Infant Car Seat Adapters for new strollers are now brand- and model-specific to the most popular infant car seats in the marketplace. They enable a quick, secure and custom fit for infant car seats. Our design allows for a better fitting installation for each type of compatible car seat, using the car seat manufacturer’s attachment system. This means that the car seats are more secure in the stroller, but also that we have a limited number of compatible car seats.
For Duallie strollers, the Infant Car Seat Adapter is only compatible with Graco Snug Ride and Snug Ride 30 because our stroller seats are narrower in the Duallie – which is good since that means our stroller fits in doorways less than 32 inches (the average door width).
How can I get an old Infant Car Seat Adapter or Snack Tray for my older stroller?
These are still available for purchase. See below for available part numbers. Many dealers sell these accessories; visit our “Where to Buy” page to find a dealer near you.
Single Infant Car Seat Adapter – part # CS0701
Duallie Infant Car Seat Adapter – part # CS0702

Will the BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter work with two car seats?
No. For Duallie strollers, Infant Car Seat Adapter is designed for one car seat because we are unable to fit two car seats side-by-side and keep the overall width at less than 32 inches, which is the average door width. This accessory will allow you to use a car seat on one side and a snack tray on the other.
Are Duallie Infant Car Seat Adapters Compatible with pre-2006 strollers?
Pre-2006 Duallie strollers have a single canopy over both stroller seats, and Duallie Infant Car Seat Adapters are not compatible since there is no attachment point at the center of the stroller. That attachment point is needed to use an Infant Car Seat Adapter. To determine the year of your stroller, please cross reference here:

To locate the serial number on your stroller:
Do you make just a snack tray for 2011 strollers?
Yes. The Snack Tray “clicks” into place for quick and easy installation, and can fold with the stroller. The BOB Snack Tray is available for Single or Duallie strollers.
Do you make a Snack Tray for pre-2011 strollers?
Yes, it is sold with the Infant Car Seat Adapters produced from 2007-2010. The Snack Tray is designed to attach to the adapter when the child is old enough to sit in the stroller without the use of a car seat.
Can I purchase just a Snack Tray for my pre-2011 stroller?
No, it is not sold separately but does come with the Infant Car Seat Adapter.
Can you install a Weather/Sun Shield over the car seat?
No. Due to the increased height of an infant car seat while attached to the Infant Car Seat Adapter it is not possible to install the Weather Shield or Sun Shield over the car seat when it is installed. Both the Sun Shield and Weather Shield are designed to fit over the stroller with the Snack Tray installed and when the child is old enough to ride directly in the stroller seat.
Which Trailer Quick Release do I need?
We make three different Quick Release (QR) models. The QR you require depends on the rear-axle spacing of your bike.
