When traveling with the kids in an SUV, packing space is at a premium. As small as the Bob Duallie is, it would be great to get it on a bike rack or cargo carrier. Any recommendations for carrying a stroller *on* the vehicle instead of *in* the vehicle?

Moderator -- sorry, this should be in the stroller forum

Randomng,

No worries about placing it in this forum. We haven't tested mounting our strollers to a roof rack, so it isn't recommended. With that said, I know people have done it, with less than ideal results. In each case the stroller opened up via transport and the canopy acted as a parachute, which pulled the stroller off the top and ultimately hitting the ground and breaking in many pieces.

Which would explain why the Pentagon opted not to use them for that baby invasion they were planning for Russia back in the 80s. ;)
