Hi all,
I've a Bob Ibex trailer and am intending to ride from Adelaide to Darwin with that on the rear along with a pair of rear panniers for my gear.
I've currently got some 700 x 20 road wheels on my Specialized Trisport frame. Are these wheels man enough for such a journey with the Bob trailer attached?
Thanks for your input!

You can run 20's, but the ride may be on the harsh side, with or without a trailer. Depending on your frame clearance you may like a 23 or 25 for both the front and rear wheel. It will give a more comfortable ride.

+1 on the wider tires.
I did a 100 mile 1 day trip with my 700c bike and fully loaded Ibex and front panniers, I used 23mm Vittoria Rubino Pros tires. I was worried about how the narrow tires would handle the load as the roads I took had some rough sections, nasty climbs and hell for leather descents. They were fine, no problem at all, however, if I was touring where you are going maybe 25 to 28mm would be more comfortable to ride on.

Good luck.

Have you tried the new Conti 4000's? I absolutely love these tires, probably one of the most supple clinchers I have ever ridden.

Sorry for the time to reply, and no, I have not tried the Contis. I was using Gator Ultra skins on my tandem and found them great.
