This depends on your bikes' rear-axle spacing. For example, Santana Tandems use 160mm rear hubs (whereas most tandems use rear hubs with 145mm width/spacing). Most road and mountain bikes, on the other hand, have135-mm rear hubs. To accommodate the extra wide rear-axle spacing of a Santana, we have made an extra-long quick release Quick Release for Santana and we have a fork that is specific to 160 mm rear-wheeled bikes. The Yak Santana Plus trailer is identical to the Yak Plus trailer, except for the difference in fork width and quick-release length. If you have a standard Yak on a road or mountain bike and wish to adapt it to your Santana, it is possible to purchase our Santana QR and Santana fork separately. The quick-release mechanisms stay on the bike and all you need to do is swap out the fork when you want to change bikes.
