. There are many variables that will affect the handling of your bike-and-trailer combination. Below is a short list of "Trailer Control Variables" (not listed in order of importance)
Rigidity of bike's rear "triangle"
Road conditions
Tire pressure within the bike's tires
Tire pressure within the trailer's tire
Rider skill/experience
Weight of rider (which can offset/counterbalance the weight being pulled)
Amount of weight in trailer
Center of gravity of load
Position of load relative to trailer wheel
Static load vs. dynamic load (i.e. bricks vs. water)
Integrity of all wheels (spoke tightness / hub bearing at the correct pre-load )
Speed/velocity of trailer
Fork-pivot-bushing integrity
Fork-to-frame attachment
Fork-to-quick release (QR) attachment
